Dear ,
We will be having our meeting this Tuesday night, but rather then having it with our planned speaker, we will have a community event to offer support for those impacted by the fires, and for those who want to help.
This will be ongoing so if you know of someone in need we will be creating a “wish list” and you can let us know where they would need something delivered or dropped off. We will also have a number of resources for those who have lost their homes.
We will be collecting clean and gently used clothing to drop off to drives who will be providing resources to families and individuals who are impacted by the LA fires. We will also be exploring other ideas on how we as a community can come together and help our friends and families in need.
The evening will also be an open forum for discussion if you need support or help yourself, as this has been a traumatic event for all of us to witness this level of devastation.
Come join us for a night of prayer, and efforts to best provide support for our WMLA community and the broader
LA city.
If you are wondering about Santa Monica's water supply, this is the guidance from former Mayor and current councilmember Phil Brock: Santa Monica water is fine to use. It is not connected to LA DWP and Santa Monica reservoirs are covered. However a "DO NOT DRINK" ORDER REMAINS in effect for LADWP
CUSTOMERS NORTH OF SAN VICENTE ON WOODACRES RD, ESPARTA WAY, and ERMONT PL only.
