Dear ,
Come out and meet John Cruikshank, Rancho Palos Verdes Mayor Pro Tem & Candidate for Los Angeles Supervisor, District 4.
John Cruikshank is a
candidate for Los Angeles County Supervisor (4th District). He is currently the Mayor Pro Tem in the City of Rancho Palos Verdes where he is serving his 2nd term on their City Council. John is a registered civil engineer in the State of California and has run his own engineering firm, JMC2, in LA County since 1996. He is married to his wife of thirty years, Jennifer, and has one son, Sean, who just graduated from Arizona State University. We ask that you visit www.johncruikshank.us to support John’s campaign.
More about John Cruikshank and how he differentiates from his two opponents:
John Cruikshank is a 3rd generation Los Angeles County resident who is currently in his 2nd term on the Rancho Palos Verdes City Council. He is a licensed civil engineer who understands infrastructure and has run his own engineering business in LA County since 1996. As a fiscal conservative, John believes that government is important to meet the needs of its citizens while
ensuring its policies and programs provide value. As someone who has signed the front of paychecks for years, John is the only candidate who has taken personal risks while creating jobs and generating value to his clients.
John was the only candidate that
promoted property owners’ rights during the pandemic while fighting the Newsom state and LA County Board of Supervisor’s takeover of rental property income through eviction moratoriums and rent control. He is fighting for the Apartment Owners of America writing many articles supporting owners’ rights. He believes in the free market not government control.
Of the candidates in the Supervisor’s race, John was the only elected official who spoke out against COVID Mandates early on during the COVID era. He looks to remove Barbara Ferrer from her position as Director of LA County’s Department of Public Health as he knows she is not qualified for that position. The current Board of Supervisors have kept her employed, while the former
Sheriff emptied our jails and prisons of dangerous criminals in the name of “safety”.
John understands that our governments get what they allow. His City of Rancho Palos Verdes does not allow homelessness or street vending. John was instrumental in
passing ordinances banning overnight camping and street vending on public property. As a result, his city has no homeless people or vending on the streets there.
The big, non-partisan, issues are not being solved by our current elected officials. It is
time to elect a proven problem solver who will listen to everyone. We have two ears and one mouth, and John will use his proportionally. Learn more at www.johncruikshank.us.
